A Celebration of Life for Terry Lee DeYoung, 57, of Longview will be held at 4 p.m. on Sunday, January 7, 2018 at the New Horizon Church of God, 1305 Jenny St., Longview, TX, 75603, with Rev. T.M. Shaw and Rev. Leon Gregory officiating. The family will receive friends at the church beginning at 3 p.m. prior to the service. Terry completed his earthly journey and his courageous fight with cancer on Friday, January 5, 2018, at his home surrounded by his loving family and friends.

Terry was born on October 24, 1960, in Longview to Richard Mark and Mary Bell DeYoung. Terry married his wife Lynda on April 25, 2009, and they spent the next years making many loving and happy memories. He worked as a mechanic for most of his life and was employed with Benchmark Industrial Services of Kilgore until his battle with cancer prevented him from doing so. Terry was an outdoorsman, he enjoyed riding 4- wheelers and going hunting. He especially looked forward to the time when he, his brother John and their hunting buddies went elk hunting. His family, especially his grandchildren, was the source of his strength and spending time with them was when he was happiest. Terry loved his family and friends deeply and passionately. His passing has left a great void and he will be greatly missed by all of those whose lives he has touched.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Lynda of Longview; children, Camie Bradshaw of Longview, Andy DeYoung of Gladewater, Mandy DeYoung and companion Jimmy Fenlaw of Longview; stepchildren, Andrea Lynch of Clayton, NY, Michael Fulmer of Tatum, brothers and their wives, Richard Glenn DeYoung and Melinda of Longview, Kenny DeYoung of Harleton, Joh DeYoung and Kim of Liberty City, Scott
DeYoung and Jill of Johnstown, CO, grandchildren, who called him Pawpaw, Austin, Bryan, Jesse, Miken, Titis, Gavin, Reece, Brooklyn and Taylan. Also left to carry on his legacy are numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many loving friends.

Terry has been reunited with his parents as they preceded him in death.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the doctors and staff of the Longview Cancer Center and the Texas Home Health Hospice team especially Kelly, David, and Kyla for their loving and compassionate care for Terry and his family during the final days of his earthly journey.

In Lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made in Terry’s name to the American Cancer Society, www.cancer.org, 1301 S Broadway Ave, Tyler, TX 75701.
