Services for Lorraine Taliaferro, 94, of Kilgore will be 4:00 p.m., Saturday, February 9, 2019 at Rader Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend James Boatman officiating, Burial will follow in Kilgore Cemetery. Mrs. Taliaferro died Tuesday, February 5, 2019 in Longview, Texas.

Lorraine was born on November 15, 1924 in Beaumont, Texas to Ross and Ruby Tully. She was a longtime member of the First Pentecostal Church in Kilgore. Mrs. Taliaferro was a surgical scrub nurse for many years working at Good Shepherd Medical Center and Roy H. Laird Memorial Hospital. Lorraine enjoyed reading and working crossword puzzles.

She is survived by her children, Jackie Cale and husband, Ronald of Porter, Dean Taliaferro and wife, Mary Lou of Liberty City, and Nancy Joyner and husband, Tom of Willis; grandchildren, Dennis Cale and wife, Gracie of Porter, Tami Taliaferro and husband, Jason McAlexander of Durham, NC, Shane Taliaferro of Spring, Jason Joyner and wife, Viki of Liberty City, Brandon Joyner and wife, Lisa of White Oak, Randy Walton of El Campo, Tommy Walton and wife, Tammie of El Campo; 10 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Thomas Taliaferro; sons, Michael and Larry; brother, Fred Tully; grandson, David Cale.

The family will receive friends Saturday afternoon between 3:00-4:00 pm
