Marsha Kay Swaim, 57, passed away on Thursday, August 2, 2018, surrounded by loved ones. She was the wife of Doug Swaim, Jr. They shared 38 years of marriage together.

Born in Breckenridge, Tx, she was the daughter of Donald Joe and Margaret Mobley. Marsha graduated, valedictorian from Leverett’s Chapel HS in 1978 and continued her education at Kilgore College and University of Texas at Tyler. She worked many years as a lab tech in Henderson and Kilgore before teaching 2nd grade at Kilgore ISD.

Marsha was an active member of Forest Home Baptist Church in Kilgore. She enjoyed following around her grandchildren, traveling, playing bunco and pokeno with her girlfriends.

Marsha is survived by her husband, Doug Swaim, Jr of Kilgore, son Dustin and daughter-in-law Kacy of Kilgore, son Daniel and daughter-in-law Emily of Waskom, grandchildren, Kaylee Jo, Avery, Judson & Brynlee and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Marsha was preceded in death by her parents, Donald Joe and Margaret Mobley.

Funeral services will be 2:00pm, on Monday, August 6, 2018 at Forest Home Baptist Church, with interment in Danville Cemetery to follow. Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Sunday, August 5, 2018, at Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore.
