Ms. Zandra Stevens
Funeral services for Ms. Zandra Stevens, 78, of Kilgore will be held on Tuesday, January 17, 2023, at the Jackson Missionary Baptist Church in Joaquin, Texas with Reverend JaCady Player and Reverend Daniel Morris officiating. The family will receive at Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore Monday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be in the Jackson Cemetery in Joaquin. Ms. Stevens passed away on Saturday in a Longview hospital.
Zandra was born on February 10, 1944, in Joaquin, Texas, she was the daughter of the late Everett and Myrtle Cox. Zandra attended Joaquin High School, where she excelled in sports, especially basketball. She enjoyed singing with her sisters. She worked as a Hair Stylist for 44 years. Zandra had been a member of Grace Baptist Church in Kilgore for 24 years. In the church she was active with the Bereaved Team, Young at Heart, Food Pantry, and James and Sharon Taylor’s Life Group. Zandra was a big fan of Elvis Presley, she enjoyed doing all kinds of crafts, was an excellent seamstress, and her family and friends will never forget what a great cook she was.
Her parents, infant brother, and her sister, Bobbie Jo Morris, preceded her death.
Zandra is survived by her children, Shelia Ramsey and husband Rodney of Logansport, LA., Kevin Stevens and wife Sheena of Center, Rusty Stevens of Kerrville, and Gayla Brown and husband Scott of Kilgore; sister, Sue Finch and husband Jim of Joaquin; grandchildren, Chris Ramsey(Hayley) of Kilgore, Elizabeth Randolph(Jon) of Pine Hill, David Stevens (Brooke) of Tenaha, Tabitha Stevens of Center, Dillon Stevens of Center, Dakota Stevens of Center, Gracelynn Stevens of Kerrville, Nykia Brown, Cale Brown, and Anslee Brown of Kilgore; great-grandchildren, Tanner Wilburn, Hayleigh Randolph, Remi Randolph, Aaron Randolph (Kayla), Lauren Newton (Devin), Blaine Ramsey, Keenon Ramsey, Keano Ramsey, Bryana Stevens, and Loxley Brown; great-great-grandchildren, Charlotte Randolph, Hadley Martin, William Newton, Henry Newton, and Ryan Newton; her beloved furbaby, BJ; she had many nieces and nephews that were like her own children.
