KILGORE

William W. Pyle, Jr., known affectionately as "Mr. Bill," passed away on August 13, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories that will forever resonate in the hearts of those who knew him. Born on September 1, 1955, in Odessa, Texas, Mr. Bill's journey through life was marked by his quiet strength, laid-back personality, and unwavering support for his family and friends.

As a proud graduate of Kilgore High School, he built a fulfilling career as a machinist at Joy Global, now known as Komatsu. His dedication and craftsmanship were evident in every project he undertook, reflecting the same care with which he approached all aspects of his life. Outside of work, he was lovingly dubbed the "House Husband" by his close-knit group of friends, always ready to lend a helping hand or a listening ear.

Mr. Bill found joy in many hobbies, which included his passion for trains and model railroads, a love for music where he cherished playing his guitar for his beloved wife, Jackie, and the thrill of traveling across the United States with her. His adventurous spirit was complemented by motorcycle rides, leisurely fishing trips, and culinary experiments in the kitchen. He began each day with a Coca-Cola in his hand, a small yet noticeable tribute to his love for life's simple pleasures.

Among his proudest accomplishments was his thrilling experience volunteering for the Nevada Railroad, where he had the joy of driving three locomotives—a true testament to his adventurous spirit and love for trains. He embraced life with an open heart and was always there for those he cherished, showcasing a compassionate soul who valued connections above all else.

He leaves behind the love of his life and best friend, his wife Jackie Lacy Pyle, who shared a beautiful life filled with love and laughter with him. Their bond was a testament to partnership and companionship, built on mutual respect and unwavering support. His daughter, Angie Anderson, and his son, Richard Pyle, both of whom carry forward his spirit of love and resilience. His cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren will forever remember the warmth of his embrace and the gentle guidance he offered throughout their lives.

He is preceded in death by his father, Weldon Pyle, his mother, Berniece Pyle, his son Clifton Pyle, and his sisters, Laura Olejnik and Barbara Blasingame. His absence will be felt deeply by his family and friends, who will forever cherish the memories of his gentle nature and the love he freely shared.
