Warren John Templeton

Warren Templeton, 82, of Henderson, Texas, passed away peacefully at his home on August 14, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Yonkers, New York, on December 10, 1942, Warren lived a life marked by dedication, service, and deep devotion to his family. 

Warren proudly served in the United States Navy following his graduation from Millersburg Military Institute in 1960. He went on to build a successful 34-year career in procurement with IBM, beginning at the Lexington plant and later transferring to help open the Austin facility in 1967. 

Outside of work, Warren found joy in the outdoors. He loved hunting, fishing, and camping, and he cherished every moment spent with those he loved most. His legacy is one of quiet strength, loyalty, and steadfast love for his family. 

He is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Janie Templeton; his daughter, Denisa Page, and her husband, Kevin; his son, Bart Templeton; his grandchildren, Ashley Lovejoy, Kirsten Templeton, Courtney Templeton, and Mady Chavez and her husband, Jesse; and his great-grandchildren, Kiley and Jeramy Lovejoy. He is also survived by his dear Aunt Lennie and cousin Donna Gentile. Warren was preceded in death by his parents, William and Mary Templeton.

 A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at Grandview Missionary Baptist Church, located at 4475 FM 2276, Henderson, Texas 75652. The service will be conducted by Pastor Joel Cobbs. 

 In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation or a charity of your choice in honor of Warren’s memory.

Cremation arrangements under the direction of Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore.
