Wanda Lee Gulley

Services for Wanda Gulley, 81 of Gilmer will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 10, 2021, at the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore with Mr. Mike Conner officiating. Burial will follow at Kilgore Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm Wednesday. Mrs. Gulley passed away on Tuesday, November 2, 2021, in Gilmer.

Mrs. Gulley was born on May 7, 1940, in Boswell, Oklahoma to the late Cleve Gipson and Clyde Marie LaFlore. Wanda graduated from Chapel Hill High School as Valedictorian. She graduated from the University of Texas in 1962 with a Home Economics degree and later received her master’s degree in Education from Texas A&M University. Mrs. Gulley was a school teacher for over 30 years, teaching in the classroom as well as teaching homebound and hospitalized children. Mrs. Gulley enjoyed reading and spending time with her cats. She was a loving and caring wife and friend who will be missed by all that knew her.


She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Joe Gipson, Jack Gipson and Steve Gipson, sister, Benita Stanley.

Wanda is survived by her husband of 35 years, Ron Gulley of Gilmer, Texas and several nieces, nephews, cousins and other loving family members.
