Tommy Eugene Todd, a proud Texan, was born on March 11, 1957, and passed away on February 3, 2026. He leaves behind a cherished legacy of family, love, and service to his community.

Tommy’s life was marked with an impressive commitment to both education and personal development. He graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in Tyler, where he was not only an outstanding student but also a dedicated athlete.

In his professional career, Tommy distinguished himself through various roles, beginning with work in the oil field. He later contributed his skills at East Texas Engraving and ultimately enjoyed a long and fulfilling career at Hood Packing Co. as a Senior Plate Mounter and Curator. His dedication to his work was matched only by his sense of pride in being a Texan.

Tommy proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps for four years, a testament to his patriotism and commitment to service. After his military career, he continued to pursue a wide array of interests, including rodeo, specifically riding bulls, and golf. Additionally, Tommy had a passion for genealogy and was known among his peers as a true history buff, always eager to impart what he knew about Texas history and family heritage.

Tommy is survived by his beloved wife, Lorrylei Todd, his children, Amy Pierce, Kimerly Eikner and her husband Benjamin, Rachel Zhorne and her husband Scott, and Cody Washburn. He took great joy in his several grandchildren and treasured the time he spent with them, as well as with other extended family and friends.

Tommy’s life, while too brief, was filled with joy, laughter, and significant contributions to his community. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Donora Cranford Todd, who instilled in him the values of hard work and resilience that he carried throughout his life.

A funeral service to honor Tommy’s life will take place on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at 2:00 PM at the Concord Missionary Baptist Church in Gilmer, Texas. Following the service, he will be laid to rest at Concord Cemetery, where he will be remembered and celebrated.

Tommy Eugene Todd will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for his larger-than-life spirit, unwavering dedication to his family, and profound love for his home state of Texas.
