Obituary

Mrs. Tomma Dempsey, a loving homemaker and devoted supporter of her community, passed away on February 4, 2026, in Tyler, Texas. Born on March 11, 1929, in Ida, Oklahoma, she brought joy and warmth to everyone she encountered throughout her life.

Tomma attended Kilgore College where she was a proud member of Rangerettes line. She dedicated many years to taking care of her family and played an active role in her husband Homer's work with the Veterans of Foreign Wars. She was known for her vibrant personality, enjoying game nights with friends, playing bingo, and trying her luck at the slot machines at the "Boats." Family gatherings were especially important to her, and she always delighted in the company of her loved ones.

She is survived by her daughters, Sharan Antuna and her husband Hector of Chandler; granddaughter, Shonda Joyce of Chandler; grandson, Kaki Woods, and his wife Susan of Kilgore, along with several cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will carry on her legacy of love and laughter.

Tomma was preceded in death by her parents, C.E. Crooks and Ruby Leerstang, and her husbands, Edward Graves and Homer Dempsey.

Visitation will be held on February 10, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at Rader Funeral Home, located at 401 North Martin Street, Kilgore, TX 75662. A Funeral Service will follow on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow at the Lakeview Memorial Gardens.
