Obituary

Stella Marie (Pollick) Morris, 93, went to be with her Lord and Savior on June 4, 2026, in Kilgore, Texas. Born on May 3, 1933, in Longview, Texas, Stella lived a life centered on faith, family, and friendship. She was a longtime member of Forest Home Baptist Church, where she enjoyed worship, fellowship, and weekly card games with friends. Her favorite Bible verse was John 3:16, a verse that reflected the faith that guided her throughout her life.

Stella was happiest spending time with family and friends. Whether sharing a meal, sitting and visiting with loved ones, fishing, playing cards, or catching up on the latest news, she treasured every moment with those she cared about. She never met a stranger and could make a friend wherever she went. In her younger years, she enjoyed traveling and meeting new people, and she carried that outgoing spirit with her throughout her life.

She found joy in the simple things and had many talents. Stella loved fishing, sewing, and creating beautiful quilts by hand that will be treasured by her family for years to come. She took great pride in her backyard garden, where she grew fresh vegetables and nurtured flowers with a remarkable green thumb. Purple was her favorite color, and she enjoyed collecting unique and interesting items that caught her eye over the years.

Stella was known for her loving and kind heart, her strong faith, and, when she felt strongly about something, a stubborn streak that those closest to her knew well. She also had a gift in the kitchen, and her salmon patties and beans were family favorites that will always be remembered.

She is survived by her daughter, Elaine Campbell; son-in-law, James Campbell; daughter-in-law, Patricia Steele; sister, Elizabeth Ann Coots; brother, Russell Joe Pollick; grandchildren, Kristy & Joey Davis, Kourtney Long & husband; and five beautiful great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jodie L. Pollick and Ethleen Barton Pollick; her husband, Ed Morris, Jr.; her sons, Eddie Earl Morris and Randy Lynn Morris; and her sister-in-law, Francis Laverne Pollick.

Visitation will be held on June 8, 2026, from 1:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore, with funeral services following at 2:00 p.m. Stella will be laid to rest at Danville Cemetery.

Throughout life's joys and hardships, Stella's faith remained her foundation.Stella's family takes comfort in knowing she is now reunited with those who went before her and resting in the presence of her Savior. She will be remembered for her kindness, her love for family and friends, the beauty she created with her hands, and the warmth she shared with everyone she met. Her memory lives on in the quilts she stitched, the flowers she grew, the meals she prepared, and the many lives she touched along the way.
