Sherron Jean Privitt Hill, 81, of Kilgore, Texas, passed away on May 29, 2026, surrounded by family.

Born on January 31, 1945, in Ft. Worth, Texas, she was the child of Charles Cessna and Ethel Florine Privitt. Sherron graduated from Nashville High School in Nashville, Arkansas.

Sherron and Lloyd owned & operated Kilgore Carpets and Interiors for 45 years before retiring and passing the torch to their son Mike.

Outside of work, she had a passion for cooking, gardening and making things beautiful, and had a knack for listening when someone needed an ear. She also took great joy in being the very best Honey to all the grandkids.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Lloyd Hill, son Mike Hill and his wife Ragan and their children Kylie Hill, Haley Cook and her son Grayson, Addi Cook, and Cash Hill; daughter Julie Hill Goodroe and her husband Grant and their children Lauren Goodroe, Kaitlyn (Taylor) Watkins, Allison (Tyler) Long and their son Kove, Riley Goodroe, and Stormi Goodroe; and sister Melva Linzy. She was preceded in death by her parents Charles Cessna and Ethel Privitt, and brother Glyndell Privitt.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 4, 2026, in the Rader Funeral Home Chapel in Kilgore. All who knew Sherron are welcome to attend. The family will greet friends before the services on Thursday from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Burial will be in the Elderville Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Marshall Hospice - Marshall, Texas, or Friendship Baptist Church - Stone Road, Kilgore, Texas.
