Shawn G. Blake

Shawn G. Blake, born on January 12, 1976, in Portsmouth, Virginia, passed away on September 1, 2025, in Liberty City, Texas. He led a fulfilling life marked by his passion for construction, where he dedicated many years to home building and remodeling.

Shawn received his education at Pinecrest Christian Academy in Kilgore, which laid the foundation for a life devoted to hard work and creativity. His active personality drew him to the great outdoors; he was an avid hunter, a dedicated bass fisherman, and loved camping. In his leisure time, he enjoyed playing pool and riding motorcycles, hobbies that brought him joy and relaxation.

Shawn is survived by his mother, Ida Blake; his daughter, Kelli Blake; his sisters, Carroll Howard and Karen Roberts; his uncles, Jerry Blake and William Blake, and his wife, Fran. Several nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family members further remember him.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Glenn Blake, and his daughter, Hailey Blake.

Visitation will be held at Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore, Texas, on Sunday, September 7, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. A graveside service will take place at Danville Cemetery on Monday, September 8, 2025, at 2:00 PM. Shawn's legacy will continue through the countless lives he touched with his warmth and spirit
