Ron Joseph Volk

June 11, 1953 — August 9, 2025

Kilgore, Texas

With heavy hearts, we announce the sudden passing of Ronald Joseph Volk, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, who departed this life on August 9, 2025, at the age of 72.

Born in Erie, Pennsylvania, Ron was known for his quiet strength, unwavering integrity, and deep devotion to family. He built a legacy of kindness, hard work, and generosity—always ready with a helping hand or a story that brought laughter.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Laura Rebouche-Volk; his daughter, Melissa Ann Volk; his grandchildren, Paige Ann Wagers and Ashton Lee Wagers; and his mother-in-law, Margaret Dozier, who loved Ron as a son and was deeply loved by him in return. He also leaves behind a wide circle of extended family and cherished friends. Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Gerald Ronald Volk and Rose Marie Volk.

Ron spent many years as a respected executive in the high-tech industry, where his leadership and integrity left a lasting impact. Earlier in life, he pursued his passion for baseball, playing in the San Francisco Giants’ minor league system—a dream he cherished and often recalled with pride.

Ron and Laura shared many passions, and they were most often found together in the garden or on the golf course. Gardening brought them peace, and golf brought them joy—especially the many couples’ tournaments they played in and won side by side—Ron truly loved playing golf with Laura.

Ron will be remembered for his kindness, steady presence, and the way he made others feel seen and valued. His absence leaves a deep void, but his legacy lives on in the hearts of those who loved him.

He cared deeply for his health and would be quietly proud to know that his donations through the Nevada Donor Network have given others a second chance to heal and thrive—a legacy of quiet heroism he would have cherished.

A private Celebration of Life will be held in the coming weeks to honor Ron’s memory among close family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ron’s name to First Tee, a youth development organization that empowers kids and teens through golf—building character, confidence, and resilience for life.

Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in the love Ron gave so freely and the memories that will forever live on.
