Ricky Lynn Plummer

Services for Ricky Lynn Plummer, 63, of Kilgore will be held on Monday, March 21, 2022, at Meador Cemetery in Jacksonville at two o’clock in the afternoon with Reverend Kelly Brian officiating. The family will be welcoming friends at Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore on Sunday, March 20, 2022, from six until eight o’clock in the evening. Ricky completed his earthly journey on Thursday, March 17, 2022, at his home in Kilgore surrounded by his loving family.

Ricky was born on October 20, 1958, in Cleveland, Texas to Oma Odessa Whitmire and Lloyd Wesley Plummer. He was a jack of all trades and had many jobs throughout his life, his favorite of these was his time as a carpenter. Ricky married the love of his life Rebecca Lynn Cobb on May 8, 1992. Together they shared two months short of thirty blissful years of marriage. Ricky was a dedicated husband and father. He had many hobbies most of which included being outdoors and getting his hands dirty. Ricky enjoyed hunting, fishing, shooting, and farming. He was a “master tinker” and spent many hours fixing anything with a motor. Ricky always made everyone laugh and loved to tell stories. He held a special place in his heart for his family and above all else adored spending time with them. Ricky will be greatly missed by his loving family and friends.

He was reunited with his mother, Oma Odessa Whitmire, stepfather, SV Caswell, sister, Darlene Womack, and grandparents.

Left to cherish Ricky’s memory are his wife Rebecca Lynn Plummer, children, Cynthia Scott and husband Ben, Tasha Plummer and fiancé Gregory, Stacy Koppen and husband Milan, Shawn Plummer and wife Kayla, Daniel Green and wife Tiffany, Ricky Plummer and wife Lauren, Jason Green, Rachael Harned and husband Josh, Byron Plummer and wife Bethany, father, Lloyd Plummer and wife Ethelda, siblings, Larry Plummer and wife Connie, Sandy Steele and husband David, Lester Plummer and wife Debbie, step-siblings, Stephen Caswell and wife Rhonda, Chad Caswell and wife Rhonda, Gorgia Yancey and husband Ronnie, Kathy O’Hara and husband Kevin, Zane Baugh and Kenneth Caswell and wife Carolyn, twelve grandchildren, and numerous uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
