Rebecca Earle Williams Boyd

Rebecca Earle Williams Boyd, a cherished member of her family and community, passed away on June 2, 2025, in Kilgore, Texas. Born on March 30, 1930, in Ada, Oklahoma, she lived a life rich with love, creativity, and dedication to those around her.

Rebecca served as an Administrative Assistant for Gregg County for 20 years, showcasing her remarkable work ethic and commitment to her profession before retiring to focus on her family and personal passions. Her devotion to her family was evident in every part of her life. She relished spending time with her loved ones, often surrounding herself with joyous laughter and shared memories.

A woman of many talents, Rebecca enjoyed cooking, sewing, and repurposing clothes. She found joy in creating handcrafted wedding album covers, each piece reflecting her creativity and thoughtfulness. Her heart extended beyond her immediate family, exemplified by her kind acts, such as sewing dresses for the children of the Navajo Nation in New Mexico. Traveling brought her immense joy, unveiling new experiences and cherished moments with family.

Rebecca's faith was a cornerstone of her life, and she was a faithful member of the Trinity Assembly of God. Her faith journey provided her with strength and community, enriching her life and the lives of those around her.

She is survived by her sons, Gary Paul Williams and his wife Carolyn, and James Scott Williams and his wife Jennifer "Jenny"; her sister, Vela Robertson; three grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and three great great granddaughters who will all remember her with love and gratitude.

Rebecca was predeceased by her parents, R.C. White and Harriett Chadd White; her first husband, James P. "Bud" Williams; her son, Jay Steven Williams; her second husband, G.W. "Chub" Boyd; her sister, Cherryl Sparks; her brother, Samuel White; and her granddaughter, Rebecca Cragin.

A visitation will be held on June 6, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM at Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore, Texas. The entombment will take place at Lakeview Memorial Gardens in Longview, Texas, at 12:30 PM, concluding with heartfelt farewells to a life well-lived.
