Rebecca Arlene Oliver Allen, born on November 25, 1952, in Colorado City, Texas, passed away on June 24, 2025, in Longview, Texas. She lived in Kilgore most her life but spent some time in Gatesville. She enjoyed a fulfilling career as a Landman for many years before her retirement, where she made numerous connections and friends along the way.
Rebecca lived life to the fullest, embracing each day and every opportunity that came her way. Her spunky, radiant personality and kind demeanor won her many friends; she was known to never meet a stranger, always welcoming everyone with open arms. A devout individual, she loved the Lord deeply, which was evident in the way she carried herself and interacted with those around her. She also knew how to have a good time. In her youth she preferred Budweiser but in her later years developed a palate for Miller Lite.
Her passions extended beyond her professional life; she cherished time spent fishing and gardening. She loved to cook- especially for friends and family. Animals held a special place in her heart, particularly her beloved dogs, who brought her so much joy. She also was known to adopt ducks on occasion. Becky started driving at the tender age of 13- her first car being a 396 Chevelle SS. She had many fabulous cars over the years including a beautiful 1979 red Lincoln. She was hard on cars but amazed friends and family by always managing to work yet another deal. She even once had a black “scooter”. In her late 60’s she had a beloved yellow hippie van decorated with hand painted flowers, frogs, mushrooms and handprints. Becky lived life on her terms- she was stubborn and feisty, loving and wild. She was loved by many.
Rebecca is survived by her children, Jason Dean Henson and his wife Linda, Tobey Len Henson, Brandy Nichole Henson, and Jacob Eli Smith. She also leaves behind numerous cherished grandchildren, including Kristin Pitrucha and her husband Marshall, Bret Henson and his wife Victoria, Kayla Breeze Riley and her husband Brady, and Justin Crutchfield.
