Ray Reinert

Funeral Services for Mr. Ray Reinert, 60, of Kilgore will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 31, 2021, at St. Luke's United Methodist Church in Kilgore with Reverend Ben Bagley and Reverend Curt Neff officiating. Burial will follow at 4:00 p.m. at St. Patrick’s Catholic Calvary Cemetery in Denison, Texas. The family will receive friends at the Rader Funeral Home on Monday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Ray passed away on Friday, August 27, 2021, in Tyler.

Ray was born on May 17, 1961, in Denison, Texas, the son of the late George and Mary Reinert. Ray was a member of St. Luke’s United Methodist Church. He retired from Texas Eastman after 38 years of employment. Ray loved spending his time with family and friends. He enjoyed playing golf, hunting, and fishing. He was well known for doing anything for anyone at any time. A true kind hearted man.

Ray is survived by his wife of 33 years, Denise Johnson Reinert of Kilgore; sons, Robbie Reinert of Kilgore, and Ryan Reinert and his wife Courtney of Kilgore; three grandchildren, Abby, Emma, and Gabriel; siblings, Randy Reinert (Toni), Joan Cary (Paul), MaryAnn Briley (Steve), Beth Reinert, Rick Reinert (Jeanne), Michele Steele (Rob), Paula Azevedo (Victor), Peggy Reinert, and Christy Carson (David); Sister-in-law; Lynne Reinert; sister-in-law, Lorraine Taylor (Craig); sister-in-law, Angela Neff (Curt); brother-in-law, Mark Johnson (Kathy); 29 nieces and nephews and 32 great nieces and nephews; and last, but not least, his fur baby Molly.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Bob Reinert; nephew, Gabe Carter; his grandparents; father-in-law and mother-in-law, John Howard, and Loa Johnson.
