Randy Joe Burns, a beloved member of his community, passed away on September 3, 2025, in Pittsburg, Texas, at the age of 62. Born on April 26, 1963, in Houston, Texas, Randy was a son, brother, father, and grandfather whose presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

A proud graduate of Kilgore High School, Randy dedicated much of his life to working as a truck driver in the East Texas Oilfield. His commitment to his work exemplified the hardworking spirit he carried throughout his life. Beyond his career, Randy cherished moments spent in nature. He found great joy in fishing, hunting, riding ATVs, and simply being outdoors. His love for dogs, especially his faithful companion Gage, was a testament to his kind-hearted nature.

Randy’s family was the cornerstone of his life. He is survived by his son, B.J. Burns and wife Amy, along with his mother, Geraldine Miller. He leaves behind his siblings, Melba Louise Burns, Michael Dwayne Burns, and James Anthony Burns. Randy took great pride in being a grandfather to Bailee Jo Burns, Cullen Burns, Bryce Burns, and Brylee Burns, cherishing every moment spent with them and creating lasting memories.

Randy’s warmth and generosity extended to numerous nieces, nephews, and many other loving family and friends. He had a remarkable ability to bring people together, and his spirit will continue to inspire those who had the privilege of knowing him.

A Memorial Gathering to celebrate Randy’s life will be held at Rader Funeral Home located at 401 North Martin Street in Kilgore, Texas, on September 9, 2025, starting at 6:00 PM and concluding at 8:00 PM. As we honor his memory, we are reminded of his love for the simple things in life, his dedication to family, and the memories that will remain in our hearts forever.
