QUINDA L. RENTZ
Services for Quinda L. Rentz, 83, of Kilgore will be held at 10:00 o’clock in the morning on Wednesday, March 23, 2022, at Rader Funeral Home with Rev. Rusty Silvertooth and Rev. Josh Howington officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 7:30 o’clock in the evening on Tuesday, March 22, 2022, at Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore. Burial will directly follow the service at Danville Cemetery in Kilgore. Quinda completed her earthly journey on Saturday, March 19, 2022, in Kilgore surrounded by her loving family.
Quinda was born on January 9, 1939, in Hornbeck, LA to Andrew Jackson Savell and Marie Cobb. She was a dietitian and had many jobs throughout her lifetime. One of which was at Laird Hospital in Kilgore where she worked in the kitchen. Another one of her favorites was the Vernon Parish Sheriff’s Dept. in Leesville, LA. She enjoyed gardening and sharing her bounty with others. Quinda loved to cook and to teach others the “how to’s” of “home-made” dishes. In the later years she had a beloved cat named Tinkerbelle, who brought her much comfort and joy. Above all else she loved her family, and they brought her immense happiness. She adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A highlight for her was mailing them birthday and anniversary cards each year. Her great-grandchildren especially looked forward to receiving her letters. Quinda was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend and will be greatly missed.
Heaven is brighter today as Quinda looks into the light of her Savior's face.
Left to cherish her memory is her daughter Diane Silvertooth and husband Steve Silvertooth of Kilgore, sons, Raymond Elvis Reed of North Carolina, and James (Ricky) Rentz of Henderson, sisters, Tommie Caskey of Jonesboro, LA, and Frances Anselmo and husband David Anselmo of Gladewater, grandchildren, Staci Searcy, Chad Silvertooth, Lance Silvertooth, Tiffany Nelson, Andy Langford, Hunter Rentz, Brooklyn Rentz, Audrianna Koenig, and Hope Overman, great-grandchildren, Jacob Searcy, Cara Searcy, Catherine Searcy, Nathan Searcy, Seth Searcy, Cade Silvertooth, Reese Silvertooth, Max Silvertooth, Fisher Silvertooth, Baylee Silvertooth, Jace Langford, Noah Langford, Colton Overman, and Willow Overman, along with numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family members.
She was reunited with her parents, two brothers, three sisters, and daughter, Dora Marie Koenig.
The family of Quinda L. Rentz would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Arbor Grace and the Accent Hospice Team for providing excellent care to Mrs. Rentz.
