Phillip Bradford Daniels passed away peacefully on March 22, 2020 in Kilgore,Texas surrounded by his loving family at the age of 63.
Phillip was born in Mexia, Texas on October 14, 1956 to Robert C. Daniels, Jr and Juanita Dvorak. He graduated from Mexia High School in 1974 and then went on to graduate from Texas State Technological Institute in Waco, Texas in 1977. His career led him to the oil and gas industry in Lafayette, Louisiana where he worked as a Navigations Specialist for John E. Chance and retired in 2016. He was a sports enthusiast and loved duck hunting at his camp in Pecan Island. Phillip loved his family more than anything and his delight was his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Marti Daniels; a daughter, Ryan Lynn (Michael) Burleigh; a son, Jay Daniels; two step-sons, Scott Shafer and Chris (Shawna) Shafer; two step-daughters, Alissa (Devin) Brock and Tessa (Nick) Claustre; a mother, Juanita (Albert) Dvorak; a sister, Susan (Robert) Womack; four nephews, Sean (Michelle) Womack, Scott (Renee) McBay, Stephen (Casey) Bradley, and Mark (Paige) Bradley; a niece, Robyn (Stephen) Luther. Six Grandchildren, Rylie, Emmy, Kori, and John Michael Burleigh; Ada and Kate Daniels; Six step-grandchildren, Cisie and Scott Shafer; Spencer and Sadie Shafer; Jamie and Caroline Brock.
Phillip was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents; father, Robert C. Daniels, Jr.;, nephew, Robert Allen Womack, Jr; nephew, Jeffrey Keith McBay; great nephew, Jeffrey Scott McBay. Phillip will be greatly missed by his family and friends and would want everyone to remember him with a smile and a story. He was legendary.
A private service for immediate family is being held. A celebration of life of Phillip Bradford Daniels will be held in the near future. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to any waterfowl conservationist group of your choice or a charity of your choice
