Obituary

Peggy Darlene Biggs, born on December 17, 1942, in Rosston, Arkansas, passed away peacefully at her home in Big Sandy on December 11, 2025 surrounded by family. Peggy dedicated over 20 years of her career to serving as a deputy tax assessor for the Gregg County Tax Assessor-Collector. She also contributed her skills to the title departments at Pegues Ford in Longview, All Star Ford in Kilgore, and Big Horn Ford in Mineola.

A woman of tenacity and competitiveness, Peggy found joy and fulfillment in various activities. She was an avid league bowler, participating in bowling leagues for over 60 years and was known by many as “P~Bo”. Her love for competition extended to the casinos, where she often enjoyed trips to "The Boats" in Shreveport and Bossier City, and she took pleasure in playing horseshoes and pitching washers. Peggy’s vibrant personality was complemented by her knack for friendly banter. Peggy cherished the time spent with her family. Peggy was a wealth of information and opinions and she was known for shooting you straight.

Peggy is survived by her loving husband, Cleve W. Biggs; children, Terry Roach and wife Raquel of Longview, Sonja Dassonville of Big Sandy, and Kay Lynn Newbill of Longview; sisters, Pansy Baird and Sharon Travelpiece; grandchildren, Austin Roach and wife Blayne of Big Sandy, Brad Dassonville and wife Lynzi of New Diana, and Brittney Daniel and husband Jace; great-grandchildren, Nevaeh Gibson, Natalee Dassonville, and Aubree Roach; along with several nieces, nephews, and other family and friends who will miss her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Loyd and Edna Fore; her first husband, Billy Ray Roach; brother, Dean Fore; and sister, Patsy Horn.

A visitation will be held on Monday, December 15, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Rader Funeral Home, located at 401 North Martin Street, Kilgore, TX 75662, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM also in the Rader Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Lakeview Memorial Gardens in Longview.
