Obituary

Paul David Bryan, 86, of Kilgore, passed away on September 28, 2026. He was born on October 6, 1939, in Elizabeth, Pennsylvania to the late John and Lois Bryan.

Paul lived a life marked by service, dedication, and a deep appreciation for the people around him. He served in the United States Marine Corps and earned the rank of Corporal, a role that reflected his sense of duty and commitment. He later retired from the Longview Police Department after a career serving the citizens of Longview, leaving behind a legacy of public service and steadfast work.

Paul was a faithful member of The Church at Lake Cherokee.

Beyond his years of service, Paul found joy in many pursuits. He enjoyed reading, prospecting, hiking, and traveling with his wife, Nita. He also loved to cook for family and friends, sharing both his time and his care through the meals he prepared and the company he kept.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Nita Bryan, with whom he shared 48 years of marriage, and by his parents, John and Lois Bryan.

Paul is survived by nieces, nephews, extended family, and close friends, all of whom will remember him with love and gratitude. His life was one of quiet strength, faithful service, and meaningful connection, and his memory will remain with those who knew him.
