Patsy G. Hardaway

Graveside services for Ms. Patsy Hardaway, 84, of Kilgore will be held on Tuesday, January 3, 2023, at 10 a.m. at Kilgore Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Dr. Danny Warbington officiating. Patsy passed away on Wednesday, December 28, 2022, in Longview.

Patsy was born on July 31, 1938, in Kilgore. She was the daughter of the late Virgil Leroy and Ima Gertrude Parsons Grant. As a young girl Patsy helped her parents at the family tire store in Kilgore. She graduated from Kilgore High School in the class of 1956. Patsy graduated from Kilgore College and attended Hardin-Simmons University, receiving her Bachelor of Arts Degree. She was a member of the National Honor Society. Patsy worked at Texas Eastman, and several doctors’ offices, including Dr. Ronald Jereb, PhD before retiring. Patsy was a member of the original Mobberly Baptist Church in Longview, and later transferred her letter to Macedonia Baptist Church. Patsy was an avid reader, she enjoyed watching old westerns, the Dallas Cowboys, but most of all she thrived on spending time with her son and grandchildren.

Patsy is preceded in death by her parents, V.L. and Ima Gertrude Parsons Grant; brother, Dr. Jimmie Grant, MD; and son, M. Brant Hardaway.

She is survived by her grandchildren, Justin Hardaway and wife Katelynn, Mallori Williams and husband Joe, and Kaitlyn Hardaway and fiancé Zach, all of Hallsville; great-grandchildren, Kasidy, Tate, Olivia, and Rhett; daughter-in-love, Virginia Hardaway-George and husband David also of Hallsville.
