Pamela Ellen Troboy, 77, passed away on June 11, 2025 in Houston, TX. She was born on May 11, 1948 in Kilgore, TX to the late William W. and Pauline Faye Troboy.
Pam earned a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and a Master’s degree in Urban Planning from Texas A&M University. After college, Pam began her career at the Dallas Times Herald as a reporter and a copy editor. In later years, she worked as a copy editor for the Omaha World Herald and the Dallas Morning News.
After retirement she spent her remaining time as a freelance copy editor for the American Heart Association.
She was proceeded in death by her father William Troboy, her mother Pauline Troboy, and her sister Paula Jacobs.
She is survived by her nephews, Patrick Jacobs, of Cypress, TX and John Jacobs, of Brasilia, Brazil as well as other loving family and friends.
Pam will be laid to rest at Danville Cemetery in Kilgore, TX at a future date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the SPCA of Texas.
