Norma Lee Sparkman Ware, born on January 29, 1920, in Goss, Louisiana, was a cherished matriarch who exemplified strength, confidence, and warmth throughout her life. She graduated from Atlanta High School and carried the values instilled in her during those formative years into all her relationships. Norma's unwavering faith as a devoted Christian guided her actions and reinforced her deep love for the Lord, reflecting her spirit of community and openness.

Over the decades, Norma made a profound impact on the lives of many around her. Known for her loving and devoted nature, she was an incredible daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and homemaker. Norma had an extraordinary ability to connect with everyone she met, and her generous spirit meant she never met a stranger. Her compassion and kindness were felt deeply by her family and friends.

She spent countless joyful hours surrounded by her loved ones, creating lasting memories that would be cherished through generations. Her legacy of love will be carried on by her surviving family members, which include her daughter, Cookie Ware Gauntt; her son, George E. Ware, Jr.; her grandchildren: Dana Jennings and husband Troy, Michele Dotson and husband Jake, Shawn Ware and wife Tammy, Michael Shankle and wife Kelli; and her great grandchildren: Michael Shankle, Jr., Jacob Dotson, Madison Dotson, Connor Ware, Shelby Shankle, and Alex Ware.

Norma was preceded in death by her husband, George E. "Buster" Ware, Jr., and siblings Mary Bowen, Jewel Sparkman, and Houston Sparkman, as well as her son-in-law, Charlie Gauntt. She passed away on January 19, 2026, in Kilgore, leaving behind a rich legacy of love, faith, and cherished memories that will endure in the hearts of her family and friends. Her life serves as a testament to the strength of familial bonds and the importance of compassion and connection within a community.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore, and no further services are scheduled at this time.
