Nita Louise Bryan, an Independent Accountant whose career spanned more than 39 years, passed away on March 23, 2026, in Longview. Born on November 23, 1948, in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, Nita dedicated her life to her profession with unwavering commitment and expertise, leaving a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of working with her.
Nita earned her Bachelor of Science Degree, a foundation that supported her extensive and successful career in accounting. Her professional accomplishments reflected not only her intelligence and dedication but also her integrity and kindness, qualities that endeared her to clients and colleagues alike.
Beyond her impressive career, Nita was a woman of diverse interests and passions. She found great joy in hiking, traveling, and spending time outdoors, embracing the beauty of nature with enthusiasm and appreciation. Cooking was another cherished pastime, as was the company of family and friends, with whom she loved to share both ordinary moments and special occasions. An avid rock collector, Nita’s fascination with the earth’s treasures was a unique hobby that spoke to her deep connection to the natural world.
Nita is survived by her beloved husband, Paul Bryan, who stood by her side throughout life's journey. She also leaves behind a loving family including her brother, Larry Boyd; her niece, Lari Ann O'Rourke; nephews, Jody Boyd, Scott Boyd, Dennis Lott & Donnie Lott; and her close friend, Pandy Allen, along with many other extended family members and friends who will forever treasure her memory.
She was preceded in death by her parents Howard & Kowanda Boyd, and close friend, James Allen.
Nita Louise Bryan’s life was a testament to dedication, warmth, and a zest for living fully. Her memory will continue to inspire all who were fortunate to know her. She will be deeply missed, yet her spirit endures in the hearts of her loved ones.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore. A memorial service will be held at The Church at Lake Cherokee on Tuesday, April 7th at 1:00 p.m.
