Nancy A. Dunaway, born Nancy A. Foos on August 11, 1952, in Great Bend, Kansas, passed away on July 22, 2026, in Dallas, Texas. Nancy lived a life marked by deep devotion to her family and a distinguished record of service to her community.

After graduating high school in her hometown of Great Bend, Kansas, Nancy embarked on a path that would come to define her through unwavering commitment and compassion. She dedicated over thirty years of service to the City of Kilgore, retiring after a long and exemplary career. Her contributions were valued and respected by colleagues and the wider community alike.

At the heart of Nancy’s life was her family. She cherished her role as a wife, mother, and grandmother, finding great pride in being a homemaker and in the love and warmth of her home. Nancy’s devotion extended beyond her immediate family circle, always treasuring the connections with those she loved most. Family was a central pillar for Nancy; nothing brought her more joy and satisfaction than supporting and nurturing those around her.

Nancy’s memory will be carried forward by her devoted husband, Gary Dunaway, and her sons, Jason Hoffman and Chad Dunaway. She is also fondly remembered by her daughter-in-law, Nancy Hoffman; and by her beloved grandchildren: Barrett Hoffman, Joeli Hoffman, Jacob Dunoway, Carli Dunaway, Gabby Dunaway, Miles Dunaway, and Logan Dunaway.

Her love knew no boundaries and extended even to her cherished fur babies, Minnie Pearl and Rosie O'Donnell, who were constant companions and a source of comfort and joy in her life.

Nancy was preceded in death by her father, Emmanuel Foos; her mother, Evelyn Foos; her sisters, Sharon Roach and Sandra Wilham; and her brother, Larry Foos.

A Memorial Gathering to honor Nancy’s life will be held on August 1, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Rader Funeral Home, 401 N Martin St, Kilgore, Texas. Family, friends, and all whose lives Nancy touched are invited to attend and share in remembrance of a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.

Nancy A. Dunaway will be remembered for her warmth, her dedication, and her steadfast presence in the lives of those she loved. Her legacy will continue to inspire and bring comfort to all who knew her.
