Kilgore

It is with a profound sense of loss that we announce the passing of Mike Logan, a cherished husband, father, brother, and grandfather, who left this world on October 7, 2025, at his home in Kilgore. Born on December 17, 1960, in Arlington, Texas, Mike was a man whose presence brought joy and laughter to all around him. He was 64 years old.

Mike dedicated over four decades of his life to his career as a Foreman at R&E Electric, retiring at the age of 63. During his working years, he not only demonstrated exceptional skill and diligence but also exemplified the importance of putting family and faith first. He graduated with a business degree from Kilgore College, laying the foundation for a hardworking and fulfilling professional journey.

Beyond his career, Mike found deep happiness in simplicity—fishing and hunting on tranquil weekends, working diligently on old cars, and cheering at drag races and car shows. Each memory shared with him is punctuated by his infectious laughter and warm spirit. His family recalls many afternoons full of adventure, each moment wrapped with the love he poured into every endeavor.

As a proud family man, Mike was married to his beloved wife, Evelyn, for an incredible 44 years. This partnership was not only a testament to their love but also to their commitment to building a life and a home together, surrounded by the laughter of their children. Together, they raised Brian (April) Logan and Staci (Chris) Morris Hull, instilling in them the values of hard work, integrity, and faith. The joy of being a grandfather brought him immense pride, thoroughly enjoying the company of his grandchildren, Kayla, Emma, Jacey, and Michael.

Mike’s spirit was buoyed by a personality that was funny, happy, and always ready to lend a hand to those in need. His kindness and helpful nature touched countless lives, and he will be remembered as a person who put God first in everything he did.

He leaves behind his loving wife, Evelyn; children, Brian (April) Logan and Staci (Chris) Morris Hull; brother, Darrell Logan; grandchildren, Kayla, Emma, Jacey, and Michael; along with his aunt, Anna June Westbrook, and uncle, Jack Manning. He is preceded in death by his parents, A.D. Darrell and Sharon Logan.
