Margie Lunsford

Services at the graveside for Mrs. Margie Lunsford, 99, of Kilgore will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, August 25, 2020, in the Rusk County Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Lunsford completed her earthly journey on Saturday, August 22, 2020, in Kilgore.
Margie was born on February 3, 1921, in Falls City to C.W. and Sudie Scott. She was long time member of Pirtle United Methodist Church in Kilgore where she served as President of the UMW and was very active in other areas until her health declined. Margie enjoyed playing dominoes and making arts and crafts. Her family wasthe source of her strength and spending time with them was when she was happiest.
Left to cherish her memory are her son Roy Lunsford and his wife Jeanne of Longview; brother, C.W. Scott, Jr of Eddy; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Also, left to carry on her legacy are numerous nieces, nephews, friends and other loving family members.
Margie was preceded in death by her parents, husband Roy Lunsford, son Gary Lunsford, sisters, Effie Kincannon and Lillie Taylor.
