Margarita Rosario-Acevedo, a devoted woman of God, cherished wife, loving mother, and adoring grandmother, passed away peacefully on October 19, 2025, in Tyler, Texas, at the age of 75. Born on January 26, 1950, in Barceloneta, Puerto Rico, Margarita's journey led her to become a beacon of love and strength for her family and those who knew her.

For 55 wonderful years, Margarita was the beloved wife of Nestor Hernandez-Rodriguez. Their bond was powerful, and it was often said that she had Nestor wrapped around her little finger, a testament to the deep affection and mutual respect they shared. Together, they created a home filled with laughter and warmth, living a life rooted in faith and support for one another.

Margarita dedicated her life to serving others, finding joy in cooking delicious meals for her family and delighting in the art of nurturing those she loved. Her kitchen was a place where great meals were made, but more importantly, it was a gathering space where memories were formed and stories were shared. Her laugh, enchanting and contagious, often filled the air, creating an atmosphere of love and happiness that will be sorely missed.

As a devoted mother, she embraced Javier (Ivy) Hernández, Melkisedec "Melky" (Teresa) Hernández, and Raquel (Jonathan) Rivera with unwavering love and dedication. Her proudest accomplishments were her faith and her family, and she nurtured both with a servant’s heart and a spirit full of joy. Margarita also extended her love to her bonus daughter, Evy Carrasquillo, and cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren: Ari, Gaby, Jonathan Jr., Jere, Aliza, and Emet, who were the lights of her life.

It is easy to remember her personality—she was a funny, stubborn, and strong woman, with a contagious positive attitude and joyful heart. Margarita’s unwavering faith served as an anchor in her life, guiding her through every challenge with grace and resilience. She touched the lives of so many with her kindness, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and endless memories.
