Margaret Ann Clark Flournoy, 80, of San Antonio, formerly of Kilgore, went home to be with her lord and Savior on Sunday, May 25 in San Antonio. She was born on September 12, 1944, in Jacksonville. Ann has resided in East Texas since the 1970’s.
Ann and her husband, Ray Flournoy, worked at the coast and did a lot of traveling. They moved to Kilgore to be around family and built their final home in the Pirtle community. Ann, while living here, attended Pirtle Methodist Church and enjoyed singing with the church choir. She also enjoyed reading, visiting with family, and horses. In her younger years, she and Ray rode in the Salt Grass Trails, along with other trail riders.
She is survived by her son, Scott Ruth, and daughter-in-law Aron Leigh Smudy, of San Antonio; sister-in-law Mary Clark of Kilgore; numerous nieces and nephews in East Texas and Huntsville. She is preceded in death by her husband, Junior Ray Flournoy; her parents, Alvin Felix Clark and Sylvia Moore Clark; her brothers, Alvin Dale Clark and Jerry Lee Clark; and a sister, Charlene Clark Kay.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at 10:00 A.M. The family will receive friends at Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore on Tuesday, May 3, 2025, from 4:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M.
