Linda Joyce Truman, born Linda Joyce Lawson, passed away on September 12, 2026, in Longview, Texas, at the age of 77. She was born on September 2, 1949, in McMinnville, Tennessee.

 Linda’s life was marked by faith, warmth, and devotion to the people she loved. She graduated from Riverside High School in Painesville, Ohio, and later earned an associate’s degree from Lakeland Community College in Lake County, Ohio. She was chatty by nature and had a generous spirit, loving to give gifts and bring happiness to others in thoughtful ways. She loved God deeply, and her life was forever changed when she was saved in the mid 1970s. That faith remained an important part of who she was throughout her life. 

She also expressed her creativity in beautiful ways. Linda was a talented crafter who sold her handmade work at boutique stores and craft fairs, sharing her gifts with many. She enjoyed bingo and found joy in simple pleasures, but nothing brought her greater happiness than her grandchildren. She loved her grandkids dearly, and they each held a special place in her heart.

 She is lovingly remembered by her sons, Tim Truman and his wife, Lori, Larryon Truman and his wife, Aida. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, Larryon Truman II and his wife, Hannah, Sydney Truman, Abby Truman (Hunter Justice), and Tate Truman. Linda is also survived by her brother, Robert "Bob" Lawson (Toby Latnik), and her sisters, Norma (John) Horvath-Hobbs and Judy (Bruce) Immonen and many nieces and nephews. She is deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. 

Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Timothy Lowrey Truman; her granddaughter, Iliana Jasmine Truman; her parents, Estill “Doc” Lawson and Alpha Omega Lawson Aloi, and five of her beloved siblings.

 An interment service will be held on Wednesday, September 23, 2026 at 11:00 am at DFW National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, Texas 75211.

 Linda will be remembered for her faithful heart, her generous spirit, her lively conversation, and the love she gave so freely to her family and friends. Her memory will be treasured always.
