Leona Grace Beach was born June 8, 1929, in Ft. Worth, TX to the late Leonard L. & Myrtle R. Polk, and died on November 24, 2025.
Mrs. Beach served in churches and communities everywhere she lived, always sharing her love of the Lord Jesus to those around her. She was an active and devoted member of the First Baptist Church in Kilgore, TX where she was a well-known and loved bible-study leader until she began residence in Arabella and then Willows.
She organized and sang in women's gospel trios in several of her churches over the years. She always had a song in her heart and on her mind, which couldn't help but sneak out of her lips through her days. Leona taught and enjoyed playing the piano. She shared her gift of music with countless students over many, many years.
Leona and her husband Fred Beach were always willing to help others, opening their home many times over the years to stranded motorists and needy travelers. They also traveled together all over Texas, Colorado, Arkansas and Missouri, participating with Texas Baptist Builders to construct or repair churches and houses.
Leona is survived by two of her sons and three daughters-in-law: Fred Daniel & Cheryl K. Beach, Clifton Wayne & Stacey F. Beach and Patricia Lanae Beach; six grandchildren: Angela Shawn Beach and husband Richard Coulson, Julie Christine Anderson and husband Andrew, Camery Janelle Pollard and husband Matthew, Melissa Suanne Weiss and husband Frank, Jared Wayne Beach and wife Stefanie, and Ashton Rene Beach; eight great-grandchildren: Emily J. Pollard, Canon D. Pollard, Vada N. Anderson, Devin F. Weiss, Corban R. Weiss, Brayton M. Beach, Ryson P. Beach, and Shylee J. Beach, as well as many other loving family and dear friends.
Mrs. Beach is preceded in death by her husband of 66 years Fred Elbert Beach, son Leonard Ronald Beach, and granddaughter Caren Daneen Beach.
She will be truly missed by all the loving family and friends she leaves behind.
A Memorial Service for Leona Beach will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2026 at 11:00 in the morning at First Baptist Church of Kilgore with David Hampton officiating.
