Obituary

Koena Lou "KoKo" Stansel Easley, 67, of Kilgore, passed away on October 18, 2026, in Kilgore after battling Multiple Sclerosis for more than 40 years. She was born on June 12, 1959, in Fort Worth, Texas.

Koena will be remembered as a loving and devoted daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and homemaker. She brought warmth and care to those around her and was a steady presence in the lives of her family and friends. Always smiling, she was a positive inspiration to those who knew her.

She found joy in simple and meaningful pastimes. Koena enjoyed cross stitching, painting, puzzles, and other crafts, and she also enjoyed playing Bingo. She liked watching westerns and other classic television shows, interests that brought her comfort and happiness over the years.

She is survived by her son, Chris Easley, and his wife, Chatty, of Kilgore; her daughter, Misty Easley of Plano; and her sister, Cheryl Hunt. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Amber Roach, Wesley Easley, Cole Easley, and Cressida Easley, as well as her great-grandchildren, Aiden Wayne Roach and Kaitlyn Roach. Each of them was part of the family circle she cherished so deeply, and her love for them will remain a lasting part of their lives.

Koena was preceded in death by her parents, Dubert Benton Stansel and Mamyie Lou Cothran Stansel.

She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the blessing of knowing her.

A memorial graveside service will be held at the Kilgore Cemetery at a later date.
