Memorial services for Mr. Kim Ligon, 56, of Kilgore will be at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, December 9, 2020 in the Rader Funeral Home Chapel in Kilgore with Reverend Ralph Rudy, and Mr. Wayne Fussell officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Ligon passed away on Saturday, December 5, 2020 in a Tyler hospital.
Kim was born in Roseburg, Oregon, he was the son of the late Percy and Gladys Ligon. He graduated from Idabel High School in Idabel, Oklahoma. Kim played high school sports and was #56. He passed on his love of sports to his daughter, Kim was very active with his daughter’s softball teams. Kim enjoyed supporting and helping with the FFA. He was an avid BBQ cook, enjoyed playing music and singing. Kim enjoyed hunting, fishing, and riding his motorcycle. He worked for Gold Star Financing for many years. Kim most of all loved spending time with his family and many friends.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Paiten and Colby Childs of Yantis, TX; sisters, Kathy Davis of Kilgore, and Karla Ann Rosenthal and husband Guy of Brandenburg, KY; niece, KelliJon Proctor and husband Derek of Mead, OK; great nieces, Reece and Rancey Proctor; along with other family and many friends.
Kim was preceded in death by his parents: stepfather, Jack Allen; brother, Kevin Ligon; brother-in-law, Lloyd Davis.
