Kenneth Neil Sellers

Neil Sellers, a beloved member of the community, passed away on October 30, 2025, at his home in White Oak, Texas. He was born on September 27, 1970, in Gilmer, Texas, and had a profound impact on those who knew him throughout his life.

Neil's career was characterized by his unwavering commitment to serving others. He began as a police officer with the Shreveport Police Department and later transitioned to a vital role as an ICU Nurse at Christus Good Shepherd Medical Center in Longview. His dedication to helping people was a hallmark of his character, exemplifying his love for his family, friends, and community.

An academic achiever, Neil graduated from Pine Tree High School in 1989 and furthered his education at Kilgore College Nursing School. His academic pursuits, however, only scratched the surface of his diverse interests. Neil was also a proud veteran, having served in the United States Air Force as Military Police, which highlighted his commitment to protecting and serving.

Neil was known for his vibrant personality. He loved interacting with people and dedicated much of his life to supporting those in need. His passions included golf, fitness, and working on his truck, activities through which he connected with family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Janine Sellers, residing in Austin, Texas, along with children: daughter Lindee Sellers Gibson and husband Garrison of College Station, Texas, and son Kaden Sellers of College Station, Texas; son, Jaden Giddings of Ft. Worth, Texas, and daughter, Jayla Giddings of Longview. Neil is also survived by his sisters, Dawn Sellers Webb and husband Charlie of Vidor, Texas, and Mecca Sellers Ford and husband Clint of Pittsburg, Texas, as well as his brother, Bobby Sellers and wife Nicole of Houston, Texas. Additionally, he cherished several nieces and nephews, along with many friends and other family members who will miss him dearly.

Neil was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Newell Sellers; his mother, Sharon Wimberley Horne; and his stepfather, Glenn Horne.

A memorial service honoring Neil's life will be held at Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore, Texas, on November 7, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM. This gathering will provide family and friends the opportunity to celebrate Neil's remarkable life, reflect on his contributions, and share cherished memories of a man who touched many hearts.
