Kenneth Wayne Jordan, Jr., affectionately known as Ken, passed away on December 6, 2025, in Kilgore, Texas, at the age of 70. Born on January 29, 1955, in Longview, Texas, Ken was a proud lifelong resident of Kilgore, where he spent his entire life in the same home, nurturing deep ties to his community and cherishing the family that surrounded him.
Ken was a dedicated and hardworking man, beginning his remarkable journey at the tender age of 15 when he joined family business, Kenco Casing Pulling. His career in the oilfield spanned an impressive 57 years, culminating in his retirement as a Rig Manager from Topcat. He also served as a P & A Consultant at Sabine Pipe for 15 years. His work ethic exemplified his commitment to his craft and reflected the values instilled in him by his beloved parents, Kenneth Wayne Jordan, Sr. and Mary Edalene Todd Jordan, who preceded him in death.
A proud graduate of Kilgore High School's class of 1973 and Kilgore College, Ken was known for his good-hearted nature and love for family. It was his family that remained his crowning achievement and greatest source of pride. Ken is survived by his soulmate and devoted partner of 15 years, Donna Rhodes. His legacy continues through his children, his son Jordy Jordan and daughter Kathlene Jordan, as well as their respective spouses, Staci Jordan and Richard Perez. Ken's love extended to his grandchildren, Madison Jordan, Raymond Paredez, and Nicolás Perez, who brought immense joy to his life. Ken shared a close bond with his brother, Lane Jordan, and sister-in-law, Joy Smith Jordan. He also held dear memories of his niece, Kalli Tinkle, and nephew, Lane Jordan, Jr., all of whom will carry his spirit forward. Adding to his loving family was Rowdy, his beloved dog and steadfast companion, who brought laughter and warmth to Ken’s days.
Known for his goodhearted nature, Ken had a passion for horses and enjoyed motorcycle riding, pursuits that allowed him to embrace life fully. His soft demeanor and genuine affection for his family created lasting memories that will be cherished forever.
A memorial service to honor Ken's life will be held on Friday, December 12, 2025, at Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore at Ten O’clock in the morning. Ken's warmth, kindness, and devotion to his family will forever be remembered. His spirit will continue to shine in the hearts of all who knew him, serving as a poignant reminder of the importance of family, love, and kindness. Ken's legacy will endure through the stories shared, the laughter echoed, and the love that lives on in those he leaves behind.
