Kayla Ann Valentine, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister, passed away on April 24, 2026, in Kilgore. Born on September 11, 1974, in Dallas, Texas, Kayla lived a life rich with love, devotion, and joy, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew her.
Kayla's life was marked by her spirited enthusiasm for traveling with family and friends, a passion that allowed her to create cherished memories far and wide. She delighted in collecting crystals and various stones, treasures that reflected her appreciation of nature's beauty. Known for her impeccable taste, Kayla especially enjoyed shopping for purses and shoes, often sharing her finds with those she loved.
Above all, Kayla took immense pride in her role as a grandmother. Her heart was filled with joy when spoiling her grandchildren, Benjamin Lewis and Grace'Lynn Lewis, with endless affection and care. Her love and dedication extended equally to her husband of thirty years, Gary Valentine; her children, Torey Lewis and her husband Kenneth, and Tyler Valentine; and her sisters, Kimberly Palmer and Laci Palmer. Kayla's family was the core of her world, and she nurtured these bonds with unwavering devotion.
She was the cherished daughter of the late Bobbie Jack Palmer and Shirley Virginia Reynolds Palmer, whose memories she held close throughout her life.
A visitation to honor and celebrate Kayla’s life will be held on May 8, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Rader Funeral Home, located at 401 N Martin St, Kilgore, Texas. This time will offer friends and family an opportunity to come together in remembrance and reflection.
Kayla’s warmth, generosity, and vibrant spirit will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy of love and kindness endures in the hearts of her family and community.
