Obituary

Kathy Jordan a beloved Certified Nursing Assistant and dedicated family member, was born on May 9, 1950, in Henderson, Texas. She gracefully left this world on February 27, 2026, in Kilgore, Texas, surrounded by the love of her family, a testament to her nurturing spirit and the deep connections she fostered throughout her life.

Kathy was known for her loving nature and vibrant personality, traits that drew people to her and made her not only a cherished family member but also a reliable source of care for those she served in her nursing career. Her dedication to her work as a Certified Nursing Assistant at various nursing homes allowed her to touch countless lives, as she approached each day with kindness and compassion.

Family was at the center of Kathy's life, and her proudest accomplishment was the family she created and nurtured. She is survived by her loving children; Kathy (Kevin) Morris, Christina (Mike) Bell, Stephen (Christine) Daniel Jordan, her 11 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren. She leaves behind her close-knit family: Kittie (Ruben) Chico, Sheila Fleming, Bobby Holt, Theresa (Richard) Robertson, John Raymond Holt, Janet Marie "Jacey" Holt, each of whom held Kathy in their hearts. Kathy was adored by many treasured nieces and nephews, who looked up to her as a beacon of warmth and kindness.

Kathy's departure has left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who loved her. She was preceded in death by her husband- the man she never stopped loving and missed dearly since his passing, Stephen “Butch” Jordan, her daughter she adored and grieved every day, Carrie Lynn Jordan, her parents; John Herschel Holt and Bobbie Jo Browning, and her siblings, John Daniel Holt, Marilyn Louetta Holt Harp, LaQuita Faye Holt Preston and Joseph Daniel Holt. She mourned the loss of her brothers-in-law; Bobby Harp, Jimmy Fleming, and James “Cotton” Shaddix, who were each significant figures in her life.

The family is forever grateful to Arbor Grace and Accent Hospice Team for the exceptional care they showed Kathy during her final days. Their support and compassion mirrored the love and respect she embodied throughout her life, providing comfort during a time that can often be difficult.

As we remember Kathy, we celebrate the light she brought into our lives and the love that reverberates through her family and friends. Her legacy will forever remain in the cherished memories we hold dear, in laughter shared, and in the bonds that will continue to connect us. Kathy Jordan will always be remembered as a loving heart whose spirit will forever be woven into the fabric of her family and the lives she touched.
