Julie Ann Brasher Bonner, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 20, 2026, in Longview, Texas, the city where her journey began on December 7, 1949. Her life, defined by devotion to family and a spirit of adventure, leaves an enduring legacy of love, warmth, and cherished memories.

Julie’s life was filled with deep affection for those around her. As a loving and devoted wife to her husband of 56 years, Benny Bonner, and a caring mother to her son, Todd Bonner and his wife Tonya, she placed family at the very heart of all she did. She delighted in her role as grandmother to Krystal Rabanca and husband George and Justin Bonner and wife Brittany, sharing with them her joy for life and boundless generosity. Julie also shared a close bond with her aunt, Catherine Miller and husband Jerry, whose companionship she treasured as well as many other loving family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, James Thurman Brasher and Helen Jo Biggs Brasher, and by her sister and brother-in-law, Jackie and Jerry Goode. The memories and lessons Julie shared with her family will continue to be treasured through future generations.

Julie was remembered by all who knew her as a dedicated homemaker, whose care and nurturing created a welcoming home filled with laughter, comfort, and countless happy occasions. Outside the home, Julie’s interests reflected her adventurous and spirited nature. Alongside Benny and friends, she explored the open road on her motorcycle, traveling across the United States and creating stories that became treasured family lore. She found great joy in the simple pleasures of life—camping beneath the Texas sky, fishing along tranquil waters, and sharing exuberant cookouts with those she loved.

Her love of horses and gardening brought her closer to nature, while listening to music provided both inspiration and solace. Julie also had a well-known passion for shopping, with a special fondness for shoes that reflected her vibrant personality and flair for life.

To those blessed to have known Julie, her generosity, enthusiasm, and loving presence will be deeply missed, but forever fondly remembered.

The family will receive friends during a visitation on July 23, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore. A graveside service honoring Julie’s life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on July 24, 2026, at Danville Cemetery in Kilgore.
