Judy Marie Phillips

Judith “Judy” Marie Phillips completed her earthly journey on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, with her loving family by her side. Judy was born to Columbus and Dorothy Brackeen on July 24, 1942, in Longview, Texas.

Judy married the love of her life, Paul Phillips in New London, Texas on August 1, 1959. The duo welcomed two daughters: Doris Kay and Cheryl Elaine. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Liberty City, Texas. Judy was a godly woman. She loved church and fellowship with her church family. Her passion was homemaking. She shared her love for family and friends by cooking and baking their favorites. Often chocolate pie or chocolate chip cookies. She kept her home welcoming by daily cleaning and decorating for every season. We knew we had arrived home by the familiar smell of pine-sol and something delicious baking.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband Paul, daughters; Doris Kay Williams (Charles), Cheryl Elaine Pearson, brother; Wally Brackeen (Shirley), two grandchildren; Jessica Martindale (Tim) and Amye Tubb (Joshua), beloved great-grandchildren Jace Tubb, Chey Tubb, Colton Martindale and Dallas Martindale.

In passing, Judy was reunited with her parents and her brother Bill Brackeen.

Services for Judy will be the afternoon of Friday, April 26 at the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home. A visitation will begin at one o’clock followed by a funeral service at two o’clock.
