Judy Lynn Tabor Holleman

November 28, 1957 — August 14, 2023

Services for Judy Lynn Tabor Holleman, 65, of Henderson will be held on Friday, August 18, 2023, at eleven o’clock in the morning at Lakeview Baptist Church with Pastor Sam Newton officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at Lakeview Baptist Church. A private burial will follow. Judy completed her earthly journey on Monday, August 14, 2023, at her home in Henderson.

Judy was born on November 28, 1957, in Gilmer, Texas to John E. Tabor and Mae Reese Tabor. After graduating High School Judy continued her education at East Texas State University and obtained her bachelor's degree in education. Afterwards she obtained her master’s degree in education from Stephen F. Austin University. Judy worked as an educator for numerous years before her retirement in 2017. During this time, she was everything from a band director to a principal. She even played multiple different instruments. Mrs. Holleman was very passionate about her career and the education system. She was a devoted Christian and spent much of her time serving the Lord. After retirement Judy was the church secretary and pianist at Lakeview Baptist Church. She volunteered at Prime Care Hospice and was an active member of her community. Judy’s family was her source of strength and happiness. She was a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, great-aunt, second mother, and friend to many others. She will be greatly missed by all who have had the pleasure of knowing her.

Left to cherish her memory are her father John E. Tabor of Longview; brother Jimmy Tabor and wife Marianne Tabor of Gilmer; nephew Jace Tabor and wife Phylesha Tabor of Carthage; niece Kadie Henderson and husband Greg Henderson of Holliday; daughter by choice Kellie Mason and husband James Mason of Lindale; great nieces and nephews Payton Tabor of Lubbock, Judson Tabor of Carthage, Phynlee Tabor of Carthage, Andie Henderson of Holliday, and James Henderson of Holliday; and last but not least her spoiled fur-baby Dixie. Along with many other loving family and friends.

Judy was reunited with her mother Mae Tabor; husband of twenty-six years Richard Holleman, and great-niece Preslee Tabor.
