Graveside service for Mr. Jimmy Lee Wingfield, 89, of Liberty City will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 19, 2026, at Lakeview Memorial Gardens with Reverend David Hampton officiating. The family will receive friends at Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore on Friday, September 18, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Mr. Wingfield passed away on Monday, September 14 in Longview hospital.

Jimmy was born on April 30, 1938, in Kilgore. He attended and graduated from Kilgore High School class of 1956. Jimmy later attended and graduated from East Texas State University in Commerce and Stephen F. Austin University. Jimmy was the owner and manager of the family business Wingfield Lumber Company for many years. He later worked at the Kilgore Brookshires where he was known as "Mr. Jim" and loved helping his friends and neighbors. Jimmy was a longtime member of First Baptist Church Kilgore. He will be remembered as hardworking and a true family man.

Mr. Wingfield was preceded in death by his parents Jimmy Lee Wingfield, Jr. and Julia Pauline Wingfield; and his sister Sally Jane Evans.

Jimmy is survived by his wife of 56 years Annell Wingfield of Liberty City; children, George Lance Wingfield and wife Amy of Longview, Shannon Lee Wingfield of Rockwall, and Julia Elizabeth Mitchell and husband Scott of Kilgore; seven grandchildren and other family and friends.
