Jerry Benton Gault, a beloved father, uncle, and friend, passed away on November 11, 2025, in Omaha, Nebraska, at the age of 83. Born on March 11, 1942, in Rusk County, Texas, Jerry grew up in Kilgore, Texas, where he fostered a love for his community and a strong work ethic.

He was a proud graduate of Kilgore High School, class of 1960, and furthered his education by obtaining a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Houston. Jerry dedicated over 40 years of his life to the practice of pharmacy, serving patients with compassion and commitment. His work culminated in his retirement in January 2020 from the VA Hospital in Lincoln, Nebraska. In addition to his career as a pharmacist, Jerry also contributed to his community by serving as a reserve deputy for the Big Spring police department.

Jerry's passions extended beyond his professional life. He cherished the freedom of riding his motorcycle and the joy of spending quality time with his family and friends. His vibrant spirit and welcoming nature created lasting bonds, fostering relationships that extended beyond mere acquaintances.

Jerry is survived by his son, Aric Tyler Gault, and his fiancée, Andrea R. Berry, of Omaha, Nebraska. He is also remembered fondly by his nieces, Vicki Rucker O'Neal (Tony) of Gladewater, Texas, and Patti Rucker of Kilgore, Texas, as well as by his nephews, Christopher O'Neal of Jonestown, Texas, and Johnathan Rucker and his family of Dewitt, Iowa. Additionally, he leaves behind friends who were like family, including the Norris, Cloyd, Swierczek, Grady, and Gifford families, along with Scott Moody and Joey Piat, all of Omaha, Nebraska.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, John B and Muriel N Gault, and his beloved wife, Martha Jane Owen Gault.

A graveside service will be held on November 19, 2025, at Lakeview Memorial Gardens in Longview, Texas. Friends and family are invited to gather to celebrate Jerry's remarkable life and the enduring impact he has had on all who knew him.
