Memorial services for Jerrel Wayne Golden, 67, of Kilgore will be 10:00 A.M. Saturday, October 12, 2019, at the Rader Funeral Home Chapel in Kilgore. Jerrel Wayne passed away on Sunday, September 29, 2019, in a Longview hospital.

Jerrel was born on August 4, 1952, in Tyler. He was the son of the late Thurman Jerrel and Verna Christine (Chris) Golden. Jerrel was a lifelong resident of the East Texas area. He was a 1971 graduate of West Rusk High School. Jerrel Wayne worked as a truck driver and was a journeyman electrician and retired from Service Electric in Kilgore. Jerrel loved to listen and play many kinds of music. He got great joy from picking his guitar and singing with his friends. Jerrel Wayne loved his family and many, many friends.

He is survived by his wife Betsy Golden of Kilgore; brother, Terry Don and wife Debbie Golden of New London; nephews Eric Golden and his wife Heather, Jason Brooks, and Chad Brookes; several great nieces and nephews; Jerrel is also survived by many step-children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren along with a host of friends that he considered family. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Vickie Lynn Brooks.
