Gwendolyn "Jean-O' Murray

Gwendolyn “Jean-O” Murray was born on April 26,1939 to Omer and Stella Miles. Mrs. Murray passed away peacefully in her home on March 21, 2024. She had been married to her best friend Homer Murray for 35 years. They spent their years traveling all around for work before settling back in East Texas where they both had roots. Jean-O didn’t meet a stranger and loved everyone.

Mrs. Murray is proceeded in death by her parents, Omer and Stella Miles, her 2 sisters which she loved and missed very much Joni Miles Davis and Carol Jackson, as well as, children Johnny Murray and Samantha See.

Jean-O is survived by her husband Homer Murray. Sisters Joyce Mizell, Pat Neal, Shirley Wayne and brother Larry Miles. Children Mark Fox, Kimberly Fox-Brick, Kellie Fox, Sabrina Ewing, Jerry “Yo-yo” Murray and Vanessa Brick, her great granddaughter that she raised as her own. Together Mr. & Mrs. Murray shared many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews that she loved very much.

Upon Mrs. Murrays request the family will hold a celebration of life on April 13,2024 at The Spot (119 N. Longview Street) in Kilgore 3:30-6:30. This will be a come and go event to visit with the family and share your memories of Jean-O
