Gene Phillips

Services for Gene Phillips, 92, of Kilgore, will be held on Wednesday, October 28, 2020, at 10:00 am in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore with Rev. David Hampton officiating. Burial will follow at Hendrick Cemetery in Alto, Texas. Family will receive friends from 6:00 until 7:30 Tuesday evening at Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore. Mrs. Phillips completed her earthly journey on Thursday, October 22, 2020 in Kilgore surrounded by her family.
Gene was born on September 30, 1928 in Alto, Texas. She was an officer in the Rebekahs Independent order of Odd Fellows and was a member of East view Baptist Church in Kilgore. Gene enjoyed reading, gardening and her family and was the source of her strength and spending time with them was when she was happiest.
Mrs. Phillips was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Henry Phillips, sons, Kenneth Phillips and Kerry Phillips, Sr and mother, Merle Hendrick.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Keith Phillips of Kilgore; grandchildren, Christy Tosh and husband Pat of Winona, Angela Phillips of Kilgore, Mitchell Phillips of Kilgore, Matthew Phillips and wife Ashley Warren of Kilgore, Kerry Phillips, Jr. of Paris, Rebekah Neely of Paris and Kevin Phillips of Paris and numerous other loving family members.
