Services for Gary Glenn Gray, 88, of Kilgore will be held on Thursday, February 16, 2023, at eleven o’clock in the morning at St. Luke’s Methodist Church of Kilgore with Rev. Dr. Allison Andrews officiating. Mr. Gray completed his earthly journey on Sunday, February 12, 2023, at his home in Kilgore surrounded by his loving family.
Gary was born in Mt. Vernon, Texas to Kyle Benton Gray and Hallie Virginia Cargile Gray on June 15, 1934. He graduated from Arlington High School then joined the United States Army and bravely served his country for two years. He worked for Eastman Chemical Company until his retirement in 1989. He married the love of his life Beverly Gray, and they were blessed with a daughter. Gary was a jack-of-all-trades. They spent free-time fishing and especially enjoyed their Arkansas vacations. Mr. Gray was a beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife Beverly Gray of Kilgore, daughter Valerie (David) Conner of Kilgore, sister Gayle Pleasant of Portland, Oregon, grandchildren Aaron (Alyssa) Conner of Kilgore, and Alyssa (Caleb) Wallace of Kilgore, great-grandchildren Austin, Cole, and Emily Jane Conner all of Kilgore, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and other loving family members.
He was preceded in death by his parents Kyle Gray and Virginia Gray, sister June Ebaugh and brother-in-law Ron Ebaugh.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to St. Luke’s Methodist Church Choir Funds at 401 E Main St, Kilgore, TX, 75662 or at stlukeskilgore.org.
