Eva was born on December 23, 1939, in Laird Hill to Daniel and Zepha Hardin. She played basketball for and graduated from Paul’s Valley High School in Paul’s Valley, OK. Eva was very proud to be a member of the Cherokee Nation and celebrated her Native American heritage. Her table and home were open to anyone who was in need. Eva’s strong faith in God was the foundation of her life and she had read The Bible in its entirety numerous times, committing many chapters and verses to memory. Her family was the source of her strength and spending time with them was when she was happiest.
