Donna L. Lowery
A Celebration of the life of Donna L. Lowery, 65, of Longview, will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, August 2, 2021, in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore. Interment will follow in the Kilgore Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday afternoon from 3 until 5. Mrs. Lowery completed her earthly journey on Sunday, July 25, 2021, in Longview.
Donna was born on February 8, 1956, in Kilgore to Leeon and Margaret Holland. She was a member of the Kilgore High School Class of 1974. Donna worked as a legal assistant for over 30 years, during her career she worked for Melba Baxter, Ebb B. Mobley, III, Leslie Wilhelm, and Vicki Haynes. Donna was very well known and respected within the legal field of Deep East Texas. One of her greatest passions was Texas Ranger Baseball. If she could not watch the game on TV or listen on the radio in the house, she would go to the car and listen to the game from there. She also enjoyed bowling, going to the beach, jigsaw puzzles and crocheting blankets for her family and her furbabies. Her family was the source of her strength and spending time with them was when she was happiest. Donna will be great missed by all whose lives she has touched.
Donna was reunited with her parents and her beloved grandmother Abbie Reeves.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 27 years, Alan Lowery of Longview; children, Amber Willoughby and her husband Stephen of Longview, Diana Lowery of Elizabethton, TN, Amber-Renee Lowery and fiancé’ Gary Wallace of Elizabethton, TN, Adam Lowery of Boston, MA; grandchildren, Korbin Willoughby, Ashton Wilson, Kyle Watson, Logan Watson; great-grandson, Grayson Watson; siblings Lisa Sampson and her husband Ray of Longview, Darren Holland and his wife Denise of Kilgore, Larry Holland and his wife Cindy of Kilgore; nieces, Leslie Walker and her husband Rhett of Diana, Heather Wimberly and her husband Josh of Longview; Aunt Betty and Uncle Kenneth Pace of Kilgore. Also, left to carry on her legacy are numerous close cousins, colleagues, friends, and other loving family members.
